Twenty-seven student-athletes earn A-R-C All-Academic honors
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Twenty-seven Simpson student-athletes competing in winter sports earned a spot on the 2022-23 American Rivers Conference All-Academic Team, as announced by the league on Thursday.
Simpson had the fourth-most honorees among the nine conference schools.
Men's basketball led the way with seven selections, while women's basketball and women's swimming and diving each had six honorees. Dance tied with Coe for a league-high five honorees, and men's wrestling, men's swimming and diving and cheer all had one.
To be eligible for A-R-C All-Academic Team honors, a student-athlete must be on the eligibility list for the sport of nomination, be at least a sophomore in academic standing with at least one year in residence and attain an accumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better (on a 4.0 scale). This is the first year swimming and diving, cheer and dance have been eligible to earn All-Academic Team recognition.
