Softball's league-leading GPA earns award from Easton/NFCA

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced its 2021-22 Academic Teams and the Simpson College softball team came in 63rd with a team grade point average of 3.506 during the 2021-22 academic calendar.

The Storm led the way for the American Rivers Conference with Loras (83rd - 3.424) and Luther (107th - 3.268) also being recognized by the NFCA for academic success.

Individually, Simpson had 24 players achieve All-America Scholar Athlete status for having a cumulative GPA higher than 3.5 during the academic calendar. The Storm's 24 honorees were the most of any NCAA Division III team.

Simpson's NFCA scholar-athletes include Olivia Allen, Reagan Church, Megan Crockett, Mackenzie DePhillips, Alexis Ehlers, Liv Erickson, Brooke Fonley, Karlie Hill, Kate Kriegel, Maizee Lindsey, Ava Lowden, Maddie Luderman, Lindsey Mescher, Abby Meyer, Summer Pasutti, Caroline Pellett, Bailey Petersen, Randie Richmond, Maxie Saceda-Hurt, Taylor Shinn, Taylor Stamm, Laurel Stice, Brooke Tucker and Mya Willey.
