Gibb tabbed as all-conference selection

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Andrew Gibb of the Simpson College men's basketball team was named to the All-American Rivers Conference Second Team, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.

Gibb is earning his second straight all-conference honor, after being named to the honorable mention team last year. Gibb ranked in the top five in the conference in points per game, field goal percentage, three-point percentage, and free throw percentage. The senior guard now has recorded two full seasons shooting over 50 percent from the field and over 90 percent from the free throw line.

"Andrew had a great year in a very tough league," said Storm head coach Brad Bjorkgren. "All of his off-season work paid off for him throughtout the year."

• Earning his second straight all-conference honor
• Averaged 18.6 points per game and 4.2 rebounds per game shooting 55.5 percent from the field, 46.2 percent from behind the arc, and 91.6 percent from the free throw line
• Scored in double figures in all 25 games for the Storm
• Set a new career-high with 28 points in the home game against Buena Vista
• Recorded the third double-double of his career with 11 points and 12 rebounds at home against Dubuque
• Dished out a career-high six assists in the win over Bethany Lutheran
• Recorded a six-game stretch in conference play shooting at least 60 percent from the field in each game
