Blugolds use second-half goals to defeat Simpson

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - Despite a goalless draw at halftime, the Simpson College men's soccer team could not keep up in the second half, falling to Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Tuesday afternoon.

GOAL SUMMARY

  • The Blugolds continued to press for a second and found it just past the hour mark, with a low drive from Sam Lynch getting through.
  • The game became out of reach for the Storm (4-5, 1-0 A-R-C) around 15 minutes from the final whistle, after Wis.-Eau Claire added a third.
  • Wis.-Eau Claire added a fourth with 10 minutes to play, before Malcook finished off the scoring a couple minutes later.
