Seventy-five student-athletes named to A-R-C All-Academic Team

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Simpson College had 75 of its student-athletes named to the American Rivers Conference All-Academic Team, as announced by the league office on Friday.

Women's soccer had 20 selections to lead the Storm while men's cross country had 12. Women's cross country and women's volleyball each saw 10 student-athletes named to the team. Football added another nine student-athletes, while men's soccer had seven honorees. Women's golf (4) and women's tennis (3) rounded out the final seven selections.

Simpson's 75 total selections ranked fourth in the conference, with the women's soccer program boasting the most honorees of any other women's soccer team in the conference.

To be eligible for A-R-C All-Academic Team honors, a student-athlete must be on the eligibility list for the sport of nomination, be at least a sophomore in academic standing with at least one year in residence and attain an accumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better (on a 4.0 scale)
