Schutjer named second team all-region
INDIANOLA, Iowa – For the third year in a row, Simpson's Stacey Schutjer earned D3hoops.com Second Team All-West Region honors.
A 6-2 senior post from Titonka, Iowa, Schutjer averaged 13.6 points and 7.4 rebounds for the Storm in 2011-12, helping the team to a 21-7 record, its fifth-straight Iowa Conference Championship and an appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament.

Schutjer earned the same award following the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons. She is also a three-time First Team All-Iowa Conference performer and a two-time Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBC) Honorable Mention All-American.
One of the most decorated players in Simpson history, Schutjer closed her career sixth on the program's all-time scoring list with 1,388 points and third among the top rebounders with 712.
