DECORAH, Iowa - Jamie Elbert came off the bench to score a team-high 17 points and Simpson handled Bethany Lutheran 94-52 in the Luther Invitational on Saturday.
Stacey Schutjer and Ali Sokol added 15 points each for the Storm (2-1). Sokol did the bulk of her damage from beyond the arc, hitting on 4 of 5 3-pointers.
Simpson led from start to finish, jumping out to a 9-2 lead in the first five minutes extending the lead to 35-10 after 15 minutes.
The Simpson defense forced 33 turnovers, led by four steals each from Elbert, Sokol and Nicole Crisp.
Jessica Englund scored a team-high 17 points for Bethany Lutheran (0-3), which shot 32.8 percent from the field (19 of 58).
The Storm return to action Friday, Nov. 25 when they host Carleton at the Simpson Classic. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
