Simpson announces 2021 men’s and women’s soccer attendance policy

The Simpson College Department of Athletics, in order to provide a safe and positive experience for student-athletes, coaches, support staff and spectators during the COVID-19 pandemic, has announced its men's and women's soccer attendance policy for the spring 2021 season.

There will be a limit on the number of spectators allowed into Buxton Stadium. Only those individuals on a pre-approved pass list will be allowed into the stadium. All spectators are required to wear a mask and maintain social distancing, in accordance with college protocols. Concessions will be closed. Outside food and beverage are not permitted in seating areas. Tailgating is also prohibited.

Additionally:

• Parents and spectators are not permitted to interact with student-athletes or coaches prior to or during games
• Parents and student-athletes may interact after competition has ended
• Food provided by parents to student-athletes must be individually wrapped and delivered outside of Buxton Stadium
• All spectators will enter Buxton Stadium through the west gates off D St.
• All spectators will sit in the west bleachers, in designated areas
• Simpson students, faculty and staff will sit in the northwest bleachers (80-person capacity)
• Simpson family and recruits will sit in the bleachers in front and north of the press box (150-person capacity)
• Visiting team spectators will sit in the bleachers south of the press box (100-person capacity)
• All bleachers must be cleared between game one and game two of a doubleheader

All policies are subject to change. The Simpson College Crisis Management Team will continue to monitor in-person attendance at outdoor athletic events.
