Klein, Mangold punch ticket to A-R-C finals

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- On the second day of the American Rivers Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Audrey Klein and Katelyn Mangold punched their ticket into the finals in their respective events.

Mangold clocked a 1:04.48 to finish in second in the 400-meter hurdles to earn a spot in the finals. Klein captured the last slot in the 800 meters by coming in ninth.

The 4x800-meter relay of Abby Loecke, Mary Wood, Kyli Orr and Klein tallied a fifth-place result with a time of 9:54.75.

Jamie Glanz leaped 1.43 meters for 12th in the high jump and Delefine Niyigena soared 4.66 meters in the long jump.

Competition will resume tomorrow in Cedar Rapids, Iowa for the final day of the A-R-C Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
