Simpson races at Darren Young Indoor Invite

GRINNELL, Iowa -- The Simpson women's track and field team competed in the Darren Young Indoor Invitational at Grinnell College on Saturday.

Jamie Glanz earned the best mark for the Storm at the meet. Glanz soared 1.49 meters in the high jump for fifth place. Kamryn Juni ended in 10th with a jump of 1.44 meters.

The 3,000-meter race was one of the highlights for Simpson on the track. Katie Murano crossed in 11:32.46 for seventh and Ashlee Litterer finished right behind in eighth place.

Kia Noibi ran to a seventh-place mark in the 60-meter hurdles. Emily Buchheit ended the mile in 11th for the Storm. Mary Wood and Abby Loecke finished in 13th and 14th, respectively, in the 800 meters.

Simpson competes at the Dubuque Invitational this coming Friday.
