2013 Kip Janvrin Open begins Thursday
INDIANOLA, Iowa – More than 800 athletes are set to compete at the 2013 Kip Janvrin Open hosted by Simpson College, which begins Thursday, April 25 and concludes Friday.
This year marks the eighth annual Kip Janvrin Open since it was renamed in 2006 to honor 1988 Simpson graduate and 2000 Olympian, Kip Janvrin. Recognized as one of the largest meets in the Midwest, this year's event features 811 participants representing 42 colleges and universities across the nation. Squads from Florida to North Dakota will converge at Simpson's Bill Buxton Stadium.
