GRINNELL, Iowa – Aaron Arment won two events and placed second in a third to lead the Simpson men's track and field team to a fourth place finish at Grinnell's Darren Young Classic on Saturday.

Augustana ran away with the team title with 131 points, followed by Central (94), Wartburg (87) and Simpson (72).

A sophomore transfer, Arment broke 7 seconds in the 60-meter dash for the second straight week. After placing second at Cornell's Hilltop Invite last Saturday with a 6.96, he won this week after crossing the line in 6.99 seconds. He also placed second in the 200 meters with a season-best time of 22.74 seconds.

Competing in his second meet in as many days, distance runner Joe Farrand had a solid showing in the Mile, placing second in 4:21.10, the fourth-fastest indoor Mile in school history. The night before he competed at the Iowa State Classic in the 5,000 meters, where he placed fourth behind three runners from Division I schools. His 14:45.41 ranks third in school history and is the fastest since Dave Halferty in 1990.
