Simpson announces Kip Janvrin Open attendance policy

The Simpson College Department of Athletics, in order to provide a safe and positive experience for student-athletes, coaches, support staff and spectators during the COVID-19 pandemic, has announced its Kip Janvrin Open attendance policy for April 23, 2021.

There will be a limit on the number of spectators allowed into Buxton Stadium. Each participant is allowed up to four people to attend the meet. All spectators are required to wear a mask and maintain social distancing, in accordance with college protocols. Concessions will be closed. Outside food and beverage are not permitted in seating areas. Tailgating is also prohibited.

Additionally:

• All spectators will enter Buxton Stadium through the north gates by the Steven Johnson Fitness Center, while the student-athletes will enter through the west gates off of D Street
• The west bleacher sections will be open to spectators

All policies are subject to change. The Simpson College Crisis Management Team will continue to monitor in-person attendance at outdoor athletic events.
