Slavin leads Simpson at Loras Open

DUBUQUE, Iowa -- Simpson took a partial squad to the Loras Open on Saturday, including Jakob Slavin and Jason Padilla. The Storm finished the tournament scoring three team points.

Slavin (7-15) lost his first match by tech fall (18-1) to Cardeionte Wilson, but was able to rebound with a pin (6:29) against Ellsworth's Max Martinez. Slavin lost his final match to Gable Fox of Northern Iowa by fall (0:24)

Padilla (10-21) lost to Zach Licht of Loras by fall (2:08) in his first round and was also defeated by Hector Candeleria of Ellsworth by tech fall (20-5).
