Men’s soccer receiving votes in regional poll

INDIANOLA, Iowa — The Simpson men's soccer team is receiving votes in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) North Region Poll, released on Tuesday.

The Storm and head coach Rick Isaacson are 6-3-1 heading into this weekend's contest with nationally-ranked Luther. The Norse (5-1-2) are ranked No. 17 in the nation and No. 2 in the North Region. 

Simpson is coming off a 5-2 loss to Elmhurst on Monday but beat Wartburg -- ranked ninth in the North Region -- in Saturday's Iowa Conference opener.

The Storm are led by junior midfielder Garrett Pochop, whose 10 goals lead the IIAC and are 10th in Division III.
