White named IIAC Player of the Week

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Simpson men's soccer player Mitchell White earned Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors for the period ending Sept. 11 after scoring four goals in two games for the Storm.

White, a freshman forward from Decorah, Iowa, registered the first hat trick of his career in a wild, 4-3 win over Crown on Saturday. The day before, White scored Simpson's only goal in a 3-1 loss against undefeated Bethel.

The four-goal performance last week puts White at the front of the pack in the Iowa Conference, leading the league with five goals.

White and the Storm hit the pitch again Wednesday, Sept. 14 when they host Grand View in a 5 p.m. kickoff from Buxton Stadium.
