ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - Luke Aronow made 10 saves but Augustana beat Simpson 1-0 on Sunday.
Sean Fidlow scored the only goal of the game in the 22nd minute on an assist from Matt Shipon, as the Vikings (7-2) beat Simpson for the second year in a row.
The Storm (4-5-1) attempted only five shots, putting three on goal. Augustana took 14 shots, but the Simpson defense held strong for most of the contest.
Aronow saw 11 shots on goal by the Vikings and made 10 saves for the second time this season.
Mitchell White took two of Simpson's five shots, putting one on goal.
The Storm are off until next weekend when they continue conference play at Dubuque on Saturday, Oct. 1 at 3:30 p.m.
