Storm fall to nationally-ranked Loras

INDIANOLA, Iowa - Camilo Garces scored the first goal of the game less than a minute in and No. 6 Loras never looked back, beating the Simpson men's soccer team 4-0 on Saturday at Buxton Stadium.

Chris Comstock gave the Duhawks (13-1-2, 5-0-1 Iowa Conference) a 2-0 lead with his goal in the 10th minute, a lead that held to intermission.

Loras added penalty kicks from Donald St. George and Dillon Olson in the second half, extending its winning streak in the series to 10.

Jeremy Reinert put a pair of shots on goal for the Storm (7-8-1, 4-2), who found shots hard to come by. Loras outshot Simpson 29-8 on the day.

Luke Aronow held his own in goal for the Storm, making a career-high 13 saves on the 17 shots on goal he faced. Aronow eclipsed the 100-save mark on the season and currently has 104. 

The Storm take the pitch next on Wednesday, Oct. 19 when they host Central (8-5-1, 2-2-1) at Buxton Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
