Sacco named to D3baseball.com Team of the Week

INDIANOLA, Iowa — Simpson College baseball player Noah Sacco earned a spot on the D3baseball.com Team of the Week for the period ending Sunday, March 21, due to his remarkable hitting performance during the week.

A senior from Omaha, Neb., Sacco went 9-for-14 at the plate, hitting .643 in the Storm's four-game series at Buena Vista. The outfielder reached base safely in 15 of 20 plate appearances and seven of his nine hits went for extra bases. He finished the weekend with four doubles, three home runs, eight RBIs, six runs scored and a 1.571 slugging percentage.

At week's end, Sacco led the American Rivers Conference with a .600 batting average.

Sacco and the Storm return to action April 1 when they host Loras for a doubleheader at McBride Field.
