Simpson places 49 on A-R-C Spring All-Academic Team

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Simpson College placed 49 student-athletes on the 2020-21 American Rivers Conference Spring All-Academic Team, the league announced.

The softball squad tallied 14 recipients to pace the conference, while men's track and field (12) and women's track and field (10) also had double-digit numbers. Men's tennis tied for first in the A-R-C with six selections, baseball produced five and men's golf added two.

To be eligible for All-Academic Team honors, a student-athlete must be on the eligibility list for the sport of nomination, at least a sophomore in academic standing with at least one year in residence and attain an accumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better (on a 4.0 scale).
