Booth wraps up historic career with strong showing at the NCAA National Championships

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Teghan Booth capped off her extraordinary cross country career, posting the best finish for a Simpson runner at the NCAA National Championship meet since 2010.

Booth finished the meet 87th overall out of 290 runners with a time of 22:16.0. The finish was the highest since Catie Ellingson in 2010. For Booth, the trip to the National Championship capped off an impressive senior season, which included earning all-region honors, placing top-3 at the A-R-C Championships, a A-R-C Runner of the Week award, and four top-3 finishes.

"Teghan had a great final race today," said head coach Heath Moenck. "She has had a terrific career and should be proud of all she has accomplished. She will go down as one of the top cross country runners in school history. We couldn't be more thankful for all she's done for our program."

The meet marked the final competition for the Simpson cross country season.
