Booth takes home individual title at Bill Buxton Invitational
INDIANOLA, Iowa - Teghan Booth claimed the individual title in dominating fashion as the Storm women's cross country team took second overall at the Bill Buxton Invitational on Friday evening.
Booth outpaced the field, winning the event by nearly 40 seconds faster than the second place finisher with a time of 16:17.8. Sophomore Mya Whitaker's time of 17:22.4 was 13 seconds faster than her last year's mark at the Bill Buxton Invite, and she placed second on the team, and sixth overall. Emily Escoto and Taitlin Koch took home eighth and ninth place respectively, while Elie Tuhn followed in 12th. The Storm finished second overall as a team with 36 points.
