Booth and Koch shine as all-conference selections at the A-R-C Championships
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Teghan Booth captured the highest finish since 2010 for a Storm runner at the A-R-C Championships on Saturday, taking home third place overall as Simpson finished fifth as a team.
Booth's third place finish was the best since Catie Ellingson took second overall at the 2010 conference championship meet. Only edged out by two runners from Central, Booth shattered her personal best this season in the 6K, beating her record by 33 seconds with a final time of 22:09.7 minutes.
Joining Booth on the all-conference team was Taitlin Koch, who placed 20th overall with her personal best time of 23:37.9 minutes, nearly one minute better than her PR.
"Today was a great effort for our women," said head coach Heath Moenck. "Teghan Booth ran terrific, and to place third in this conference, she's got a chance to have a special end to her season. Freshman Taitlin Koch was really good too. For her to be all-conference is an accomplishment to be proud of."
