Storm earn ninth place in regional ranking
NEW ORLEANS - After strong performances to open the year, the Simpson women's cross country earned ninth place in the latest United States Track and Field & Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA) on Tuesday.
Led by Teghan Booth and her victory at the Bill Buxton Invitational, along with a third place finish at the Les Duke Invitational, the Storm was one of four members of the A-R-C to be regionally ranked. Joining the Storm in the rankings was Central (3rd), Wartburg (4th), and Loras (5th). Simpson took home second place at their home opener as a team, before placing third at the Les Duke Invitational.
Simpson continues the season at the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational in Rock Island, Ill. on Saturday, Sept. 28.
