Simpson women's cross country continue hot start to the 2024 season at the Les Duke Invite

GRINNELL, Iowa - Teghan Booth continued her dominating start to the season, placing third overall and leading the Storm at the Les Duke Invitational on Saturday.

Booth, who won the Bill Buxton Invitational to open the year, placed third overall out of 74 runners in the team's first look at a 6K course. Taitlin Koch earned a 13th place finish, with Emily Escoto, Elie Tuhn and Mya Whitaker all earning top-20 finishes. The Storm as a team placed third overall with 73 points.

"Teghan Booth ran really well today," said head coach Heath Moenck. "She's got big goals for the season, and today was a good step towards them. Freshman Taitlin Koch also ran extremely well in her first 6K of her career. She's got a lot of great races ahead. I was really pleased how we competed as a team, and took a big step forward from two weeks ago."
