Simpson quartet competes at Augustana Qualifier
ROCK ISLAND, Ill. -- The Simpson College men's and women's track and field teams sent a handful of student-athletes to the Augustana Qualifier on Thursday.
Jamie Glanz jumped 5 feet, 1.75 inches for fifth place in the high jump. The height is a career best for the senior.
Ryan Courtney aimed to improve his 3,000-meter steeplechase time, but failed to do so with a 9:28.34 performance for eighth. Courtney missed his career best by six seconds, which he set last week in the American Rivers Conference Championship to earn a runner-up finish.
Spencer Moon collected eighth in the 1,500 meters with a time of 3:57.12. Max Cleveland recorded the Storm's third eighth-place nod of the day, this time in the 110-meter hurdles. The sophomore crossed the finish in 22.54 seconds.
