Bell named Storm softball MVP
INDIANOLA, Iowa -- Sophomore Emily Bell was recently named the Simpson softball team's Most Valuable Player for her efforts on the diamond in 2019.
The American Rivers All-Conference Second Team performer led the team inside the circle with an 11-6 mark to go with 78 strikeouts and a 2.27 earned run average. Bell was named the A-R-C Softball Pitcher of the Week once during the year.
The Aurora, Colo. native finished with 19 hits, eight doubles and three homers to drive in five runs at the plate.
