Storm women fall in opening match of spring season

ALBERT LEA, Minn. - The Simpson College women's tennis team dropped its first match of its spring season to Wisconsin-Superior in neutral site action.

The Storm's No. 1 duo of Bella Tranquilino and Grace Peck fought hard in the top doubles match, but dropped an 8-5 decision.

Tranquilino and Peck also each won six total games in their singles matches, but the Yellow Jackets (5-5) were able to hold off the Storm (2-8, 2-6 A-R-C).

The Storm are currently scheduled to take on Northwestern (Minn.) on March 23 in Pella, Iowa.
