Storm rebound to take down Spartans

The team of Coilee Hynek and Maddie Haskell won the first match of the day at the No. 3 doubles spot by a score of 8-4. After the Spartans (1-7, 0-5 A-R-C) tied the match at one with a win at No. 2 doubles, the duo of Bella Tranquilino and Grace Peck used a comeback win at the No. 1 spot to give the Storm (2-5, 2-4 A-R-C) a 2-1 lead going into singles.

The Storm had to win three of the six singles matches and got off to a good start in that task, as senior Maggie Hall only dropped one game en route to a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles. Simpson took a 4-1 lead after Hynek won 6-1, 6-1 at the No. 5 spot. The Storm clinched the overall match win with another dominating performance, this time from Haskell, who won at the No. 4 spot by a score of 6-2, 6-1. Peck also won her singles match at the No. 3 spot, 6-3, 6-3, to give the Storm a 6-3 match win.
