Storm fall to Luther in season opener

DECORAH, Iowa - The Simpson College women's tennis team dropped its season opener on the road at defending conference champion Luther.

The Norse (2-0, 2-0 A-R-C) are the team to beat in the conference and got off to a quick start, winning the first three doubles matches.

The Storm (0-1, 0-1 A-R-C) used four new players in the lineup, with some growing pains to be expected. The Norse finished off the Storm in singles to claim the victory.

Simpson will stay in conference play by hosting Buena Vista next Friday at 4 p.m.
