#StormTop10 Individual Performances No. 7: Luth buries Dubuque

Jacqueline Luth enjoyed a career-year in 2016, leading the Storm volleyball team and the Iowa Conference in kills per set while amassing more than 340 kills on the season. The junior established herself as one of the most dangerous outside hitters in the league.

The Dubuque Spartans found out just how dangerous she could be on Nov. 8.

That night, Luth led the Storm to a five-set win over Dubuque while hammering 27 kills, the most by a Simpson player since 2003 and the most in all of the Iowa Conference in 2016.

The right-hander was dominant. She committed just six errors in 65 attempts for a .323 hitting percentage and got stronger as the match wore on. After a slow start -- three kills and three errors in the first set -- Luth hit .446 with 24 kills in the final four. She didn't commit an error in sets four and five, hitting .591 with 13 kills.

Luth went on to earn IIAC Offensive Player of the Week honors thanks to the monster performance. She was an Honorable Mention All-Conference selection after leading the league with 3.75 kills per set, the most by a Simpson player since 2008.
