#StormTop10 Moments No. 9: Women's swimming breaks 12-year old relay record

The Storm swimming and diving teams broke 18 school records at the season-ending Liberal Arts Championships, but one record stood above the rest.

The quartet of Cheyenne Wiederholt, Alex Vander Veen, Cassie Bergman and Brenna Yeutsy broke one of the women's program's oldest records when they swam 8:33.73 in the 800 freestyle relay. That effort crushed the old record by nearly 11 seconds, a record set during the 2004-05 season.

Simpson took eighth place in the event and ended up taking eighth at the championships overall. Yeutsy went on to earn All-Iowa Conference honors in the 100 freestyle with a second-place finish among IIAC competitors in the 100 freestyle.
