This year, SimpsonAthletics.com is publishing two #StormTop10 lists. Individual Performances showcases the best single-game, individual outings of the season, while Greatest Moments highlights the top team, single-season and career efforts. The lists were voted on by the Simpson coaching staff and will be unveiled each weekday beginning with #StormTop10 Individual Performances.

Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise" topped the music charts, the original Toy Story hit No. 1 at the box office and the world was first introduced to something called a DVD.

That's what was happening the last time a Simpson softball player had five hits in a game. That's until Madison Rasmusson did it on April 22 at Dubuque.

The sophomore transfer from Marshalltown went a perfect 5-for-5 against the Spartans in game one of an IIAC doubleheader, helping the Storm to an 11-3 win. Her five hits -- all singles -- are tied for the second-most in a game in school history and are the most by a Storm player since Holly Stevens set the record with six against Buena Vista in 1995.

Rasmusson is one of just three players in school history to collect five hits in a game.

The right-hander went on to earn second team all-conference honors after leading the team with a .375 batting average. Her five hits against Dubuque were the most in the IIAC in 2017.
