Simpson receives 15th straight USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Simpson College volleyball team received the United States Marine Corps/American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award for the 15th consecutive season.

The Storm have collected a total of 17 team academic awards from the USMC/AVCA since the organizations started recognizing teams for maintaining a year-long grade point average of at least 3.3 in 1992-93. Simpson's 15-year streak is currently the sixth longest in all of NCAA Division III.

Simpson is one of 1,333 collegiate and high school teams to earn the academic honor this year. There were 229 DIII teams selected.
