Storm women continue outdoor season

CRETE, Neb. - Max Cleveland and Brenden Godbout both won events at the Jim Dutcher Memorial Classic to lead the Simpson track and field teams in Nebraska.

Cleveland won the 110 meter hurdles in a time of 14.78, being the only competitor to break 15 seconds in the race. Godbout also won the 400 meter hurdles, clocking a time of 54.34, beating his career-best by almost three seconds. Godbout also took fifth in the 100 meters with a time of 15.45. JR Knauss also set a new career-best in the high jump with a mark of 1.90 meters.

On the women's side, Maddax DeVault took third in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:07.67, the fastest time since the 2019 season in the event for the Storm. DeVault also ran a 15.77 in the 100 meter hurdles to take seventh, one spot behind teammate Audrey Arnold who clocked a 15.68 to take sixth.
