Simpson women collect CSCAA Scholar All-America honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado -- The Simpson women's swimming and diving team stretched its current streak of College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America Scholar All-America Team honors to 15-straight semesters on Monday, the organization announced.

"I am very proud of our women and the academic tradition they continue to uphold," said head coach Tom Caccia.

The Storm were one of 461 teams to receive the honor for the spring semester. Teams were selected on the basis of their Spring grade point averages and represent 17,982 student-athletes.

The CSCAA did not publish team GPAs due to the results being one-quarter letter grade higher than previous years with institutions adjusting the grading systems.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
