Storm women open spring campaign at Iowa Wesleyan

FORT MADISON, Iowa - The Simpson women's golf team opened its spring season at the Iowa Wesleyan Tiger Invite at Sheaffer Memorial Golf Club.

The Storm took fourth place overall, led by Madeline Streicher and Taylor Elam, who both carded 87's. Streicher is a familiar face at the top of the leaderboard for the Storm, as the sophomore led the Storm in every event besides one in the fall. Elam's 87 tied for her third-best round on the year, as the duo ended up tied for seventh overall.

Madison Wardlow and Miranda Deppe both carded 100's, with Deppe's coming as an individual player. Kristen Roe recorded a 102, while Joann Martin rounded off the scoring for the Storm shooting a 103.

The team travels to Fort Dodge, Iowa for the Iowa Central Spring Invite, beginning next Friday.
