Storm battle at NWU Fall Invitational

LINCOLN, Neb. - The Simpson women's golf team placed seventh at the Nebraska Wesleyan Fall Invitational over Saturday and Sunday, at Mahoney Golf Club.

The Storm were led once again by Madeline Streicher, who fired rounds of 81 and 85 for a two-day total of 166 to tie for 16th. Streicher has now been the top Storm golfer for every event except one this season.

Taylor Elam recorded a top-30 finish by tying for 27th with a two-day total of 177, led by a final round 86. Joann Martin came in with a tournament total of 189 to tie for 37th.

The Storm were rounded off by Madison Wardlow, who shot a two-day total of 193 to tie for 42nd and Kristen Roe, who finished with a total of 218 to tie for 50th.

Up Next
The women have two weeks to prepare for the American Rivers Conference Championship. The three-day event will start on Oct. 8 and be held at Ames Country Club in Ames, Iowa.
