Women’s golf claims team title in Mason City

MASON CITY, Iowa – Fueled by a trio of top 10 finishes, the Simpson College women's golf team took first at the NIACC Fall Invite on Thursday.

The Storm finished their second competition of the year with 328 strokes to claim the team title.

Freshman Madison Wardlow shot 80 to finish tied for fourth with NIACC's Kirsten Boerjan. Madeline Streicher was one stroke behind Wardlow with an 81, tying for sixth with Isabella Thorson of Iowa Lakes.

Taylor Elam was the third Simpson golfer to turn in a top 10 total, while Joann Martin finished inside the top 15 with an 84. Miranda Deppe and Kristen Roe rounded out the lineup for Simpson.
