Storm show big improvement on day two of season-opening invite
DIKE, Iowa – The Simpson College women's golf team placed 13th at the Norse/Kohawk Invitational this weekend.
The Storm had a 33-stroke improvement from day one to day two, going from 381 to 348 for a weekend total of 729.
Madeline Streicher led the Storm with a 172 that finished tied for 47th place. Freshman Joann Martin finished second for the Storm with 185 strokes followed by Taylor Elam with a weekend score of 186. Kristen Roe posted a 189 in her first collegiate outing and Miranda Deppe shot 98 on both days.
Simpson returns to action on Sept. 8 at the NIACC Fall Invite in Mason City, Iowa.
