Streicher leads women at Navy and Gold Classic

OSKALOOSA, Iowa – The Simpson College men's and women's golf teams continued their fall slates at the WIlliam Penn Navy and Gold Classic early this week. The Storm men placed third in the field of five, while the women took fifth in the six-team pool.

Jack Wahman shot a 146 to lead both squads with a fifth place finish. Madeline Streicher was the top performer on the women's side, coming in 14th place with a two-day total of 177.

Other top golfers for the men included Garin Grinstead who tied for 10th as an individual and the duo of Brendan Bayeur and Isaac Roe who posted identical scores on both days for a total of 155.

Finishing second for the women was Taylor Elam with a 183. Joann Martin was three strokes behind with a 186 and Madison Wardlow shot a 195.
