Catchpole secures Specialist of the Week honors

DANBURY, Conn. – After breaking the program record on parallel bars, sophomore Alex Catchpole has been tabbed the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Specialist of the Week.

Catchpole earned a 13.800 for his routine in a road dual meet against Air Force, tying for second place. He surpassed Sterling Pariza, who achieved a 13.650 two weeks ago, on the program's parallel bars leaderboard.

The Nashua, N.H. native also led the Storm on pommel horse (11.650) and still rings (11.900) this weekend.

Simpson is set to go back to Colorado Springs, Colo. for the USAG Championships taking place this Friday and Saturday.
