Roe paces men at Iowa Wesleyan Invite

FORT MADISON, Iowa -- Senior Emily Jansen finished third at the Iowa Wesleyan Invitational on Tuesday to lead the Simpson men's and women's golf teams.

Jansen carded an 84 to receive her first career top-five placing with her lowest round total of the season. She finished three strokes shy of clipping the first-place finishers. Hannah Mulligan rounded out the women's squad by tying in 21st.

For the men, Isaac Roe missed his career best by two strokes to shoot an 86 to pace the team. Brendan Bayeur finished one stroke behind Roe.

Konner Johnson, Lucas Hemphill and Brett Jansen rounded out the final three golfers for the Simpson men.

Up Next
The men travel to Waverly to compete in the Wartburg Invitational on April 3. The women compete next in the DMAAC Invitational on April 6 at the Ames Country Club.
