Simpson falls to Dubuque on Senior Day

INDIANOLA, Iowa – The Simpson College men's basketball team played a close first half with the league-leading Spartans, but a big second-half surge by Dubuque gave the visitors a 90-68 win on Saturday.

Buck Eagleburger collected a steal with 34 seconds left in the frame and pulled Simpson (5-18, 2-12 A-R-C) within three with a triple, but the Spartans charged right back down the court and Hunter Snyder sank one as time expired to go back out in front by six, 44-38.

The Spartans went ahead by 28 at the 2:36 mark following a 16-3 spree before eventually claiming the season sweep over Simpson with a 22-point win.
