Worth selected to Academic All-America Second Team

AUSTIN, Texas – Senior wide receiver Reed Worth was selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Second Team on Tuesday.

Worth is the first Storm football player to earn Academic All-America distinction since Mason Spree was a recipient in 2020. He is now the seventh student-athlete in program history to earn the honor.

A wide receiver from Monroe, Iowa, Worth is majoring in sports administration with minors in coaching and health and exercise science. He earned his first academic all-district award in November and was selected to the All-American Rivers Conference Second Team for his efforts on the turf.

This past season, Worth led the conference in receiving yards, receiving yards per game and receiving touchdowns. He was the only receiver in the league to surpass 1,000 yards and his season total of 1,157 was the third-highest in school history. At the end of the regular season, Worth's receiving yards and 13 touchdowns ranked sixth in Division III, while his 115.7 yards per game were eighth-best.

Worth eclipsed 100 yards on five occasions and posted five games with multiple scores, including four consecutive between Oct. 8-Oct. 29. His longest reception was 80 yards (5th in A-R-C) and his season-high yardage was 239 (1st in A-R-C).
