Jeter resigns as head football coach

INDIANOLA, Iowa – After seven seasons leading the Simpson Storm, Matt Jeter has resigned as head football coach.

A 1998 Simpson alum, Jeter was hired as the 33rd head coach in program history in 2016. The Storm went 22-39 with Jeter at the helm.

"We appreciate all that Coach Jeter has done for the football program and Simpson College," Director of Athletics Marty Bell said. "We wish him well in his future endeavors."

A national search for a new head coach will begin immediately.
