Storm make season debut in Kansas
LEAVENSWORTH, Kan. – The Simpson College men's and women's swimming and diving teams each opened the season with a third place finish at the Spire Relays.
The Storm women scored 58 team points to sit in the middle of the five-team pool, while the Simpson men tallied 44 points to rank third of four teams.
Simpson accumulated nine bronze medals between the two squads.
Second-year head coach Adam Cvetich has seven returning females and two returning males on this year's team, which got to compete for the first time with seven newcomers. On the men's side, Brody Blom, Gabe Bruns, Adrell Mulgrew-Truitt, Christopher Olds and Jared Oosterhuis all made their collegiate debut. For the women, Emma Owen and Emma Haynes swam for the first time collegiately.
