INDIANOLA, Iowa – Ricardo Ibarra converted the game-winning goal with 4:55 left to play to lift the Simpson College men's soccer team to a come-from-behind win over Knox in the team's home opener.
The Storm (3-0-0) have won 11 consecutive home openers dating back to the 2012 season. In those 11 games, Simpson outscored its opponents 43-7.
Alan Imamovic tapped in a cross from Ronaldo Ordaz to level the game at 1-1 in the 62nd minute and Ibarra propelled the team to victory with a header off Baraka Ellie's perfectly-placed corner kick. The Storm offense was busy all night, taking 29 shots and forcing the Prairie Fire goalkeeper into 12 saves.
