Central tops Storm

PELLA - Jordan Appenzeller netted two goals as Central scored a 3-0 win against Simpson on Wednesday.

Appenzeller scored the first two goals of the game for the Dutch (11-3, 2-4 IIAC). His first came in the tenth minute, taking a corner kick from Leland Schipper. Dillon Thornbury assisted on the next goal, which came less than two minutes into the second half.

Brett McKenzie closed the scoring in the 59th minute with his ninth goal of the season, taking Schipper's second assist of the day.

Luke Aronow made 11 saves between the posts for the Storm (5-10, 2-4 IIAC), who were outshot 20-3 on the day.
