Yeutsy, Prendergast with top-three finishes, Storm finish third at Austin Invitational

SHERMAN, Texas — Sarah Prendergast and Brenna Yeutsy each had top-three freestyle finishes for the Storm to lead the Simpson women's swimming and diving team in third place at the Austin Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

The Storm finished in the middle of the pack with a total score of 300, 71 points behind Oklahoma Christian.

Prendergast finished in third in the 100 freestyle (1:00.63) and now sits in the top-10 performance for the 100 freestyle at Simpson. She also competed in the 50 freestyle finishing in ninth (27.63).

Yeutsy took the other top performance of the day finishing in third place in the 500 freestyle (5:56.55). She also had a fourth-place finish in the 200 freestyle (2:10.06).

Prendergast and Yeusty each started a relay and both finished in fourth place. In the 400 freestyle relay, Prendergast along with Cassie Bergman, Cheyenne Wiederholt and Yeutsy (4:11.25) and Yeutsy led the 400 medley relay with Bergman, Wiederholt and Prendergast (4:34.83).
